The first annual Saint Patrick's Day parade will take place on Friday, March 17th on the GCG Communications region in the Great Canadian Grid.
Marianna Monentes, Parade organizer and Publisher for the Canadian Sun had this to say "The St. Patrick's Day parade is generating lots of community excitement. We have ten floats entered in the parade as of today". The parade is the first for this holiday and the first of its kind in the grid.
"It's great to see our community coming together for this event. We've gone through a lot of challenges in 2016 in GCG but 2017 will definitely be the year we mend bonds between neighbours and rebuild our community spirit" said Winter Silversmith CAO Manitou Tourism and Editor for the Corran Sun.
The parade will start at the Corran Journal office proceed down two streets and end at the Canadian Sun Headquarters. The parade is scheduled to start at 12:00 noon grid time.
The parade is still accepting entrants, please contact Marianna Monentes to participate in this great community building event.
