Councillor Requests Early Start to Halloween
"It has been a hard season for everyone and I think we need to celebrate something!" said Councillor Winter Silversmith, representative for the Town of Manitou. "I am inviting all of our residents and businesses to decorate now for Hallowe'en, Autumn and Canadian Thanksgiving. I know we are a week early for Hallowe'en but let's get things rolling while we still can".
The Covenant calls for decorations to be placed no earlier than one month before the holiday date and removed within a couple days after. Residents and businesses in Manitou are invited to decorate for Canadian Thanksgiving (October 9), Hallowe'en (October 31), Autumn (September 22) now. Winter begins in the Town of Manitou on November 1st and the regions close forever December 31, 2017.
