Manitou Tourism CAO Winter Silversmith announced today that the Covenant will be updated once again in Manitou. "We are adopting more of a roleplay of a small town" he said "with the Covenant to be re-written to appear like a set of by-laws instead of rules".
In this change Manitou Tourism will be approaching the residents and shop owners in Manitou for "public opinion" involving what changes they would like to see take place around the continent of Manitou. "It will be a more democratic process that will look to the people for suggestions on how Manitou can improve to serve the needs of many". Winter continued, "We will seek opinion on things like transportation, zoning, development and various bylaws that impact our citizens". Ultimately as region owner Winter Silversmith will have the final say and ability to veto any ideas but this change reflects more of a democratic approach and is truly Canadian.
