During an interview earlier today Winter Silversmith CAO of Manitou Tourism responded to concerns raised that the Silversmith Estates Prim Bank may be facing a recession in Meaford. The rumours were circulating questioning a shortage in prims following the announcement that the three hundred prim ART WALL would be closing with only twenty-four hours notice.
"While I would like to talk about the new advertising campaign we're introducing it appears that I need to squash the latest fake news circulating the media lately" said Mr. Silversmith to reporters from the Corran Journal, KMTV-7 News and other local outlets late this afternoon.
"The Silversmith Estates is the corporation that owns Manitou Tourism and subsequently the Manitou regions. They usually have a hands-off approach to managing the regions and this case is no exception. I personally checked with the Bank earlier today concerning Meaford and they informed me that the region still has almost fifteen-hundred prims available. There is no risk to merchants of a prim shortage in the region. This is fake news and it needs to be stopped right now" he stated.
The Prim Bank is responsible for the management of prims on all of the Manitou regions and is a subsidiary of Silversmith Estates. The Prim Bank oversees a varied range from twenty-five-hundred to fifteen-thousand prims per region. When the available prims reach a "minimum" of one thousand the alert goes out to Manitou Tourism to 'cut back and conserve spending'. The conservation efforts can range from finding lower prim landscaping to the cut back and removal of high prim parks and structures.
Mr. Silversmith continued describing the new advertising campaign and ignoring additional questions concerning the reasoning behind the new park except to state that "the mall needs to remain fluid and change with the times and we have decided to take a new direction in some of the offerings available".
