The second location for the Northpointe Medical Clinic and First Choice Pharmacy will finally be open soon. After several weeks of construction issues involving water and electrical services the building is nearing completion. The building neared completion in mid June but was delayed after a main pipe burst and flooded the facility damaging electrical services installed near the floors. The cleanup took over two weeks to complete included reconstruction of the floors and walls that received extensive water damage.
The location, in Mud River, GCG, is the second for the dual purpose complex. The first building is located in uptown Meaford, GCG just west of the R.M. Manitou office. The clinic and pharmacy will serve the Westerville Medical Center and the districts of Mud River, Mattawa Bay, Muskoka and Minesing, GCG, the resident physician will be Igor Ahcoff, M.D. while Abel Tooelp, M.D. will remain at the Meaford, GCG clinic. The doors are expected to open to the public by the end of this week.
