Manitou Tourism announced today that the Manitoulin Memorial Park will be relocating to the new scenic region of Minesing.
The new region will be designated as parkland and is being created solely for the purpose of the memorial park. The new region will include the memorials to Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters and offer 1,000 limited prims to public memorials for loved ones. There is, and will continue to be, no cost to place a memorial on the region.
"Memorials are free but the region is not so donations are always accepted. We will create a special board to honour those who make donations to the maintenance of the region". said Winter Silversmith CEO Manitou Tourism. "As promised the free memorial park will remain open, however recent development has made it necessary to relocate the park to a dedicated region." The new region is expected to open by the end of April.
